Storrs: A Thriving Village with University Ties

Storrs is a village of 15,344 people located in Tolland County. During the academic year, the population surges as about two-thirds of undergraduate students return to live on campus at UConn.

The university is an integral part of life in Storrs. Founded in 1881, UConn has since grown to offer a main campus (located in Storrs), four regional campuses, more than 110 undergraduate majors and 90 graduate fields of study. A majority of UConn students are Connecticut residents, but about 10% of undergrads and 25% of grad students are international students who hail from more than 100 countries.
